By now, you already know how energetic and naughty beagle pups can be. They just want to play all the time. It is just impossible to entertain them all the time, and that’s when toys come to your rescue.
There are so many choices in the market for puppy toys, but the problem is most of them are not really safe. You see, beagles are strong chewers even when they are just puppies. They can easily break toys into small pieces and may swallow them.
After trying hundreds of toys on my two beagles over the years, I managed to find a few really good quality toys. Let’s have a look.

My younger beagle is a powerful chewer. I cannot tell you how many toys he has broken until now. But this toy has been by his side for a while. It is really durable. I bought one a year ago, and the toy is still in good shape.

Jolly Pets Soccer Ball (Outdoors)
Even after hundreds of years, they still have their hunting instinct to chase their prey. Although beagles are not at all aggressive, they love to chase things.
Both of my beagles love to chase balls. But the problem with most rubber balls was that my dogs would pop it off quite easily. While plastic balls are more durable, I am not sure how safe they are for their gums.
I had tried various options before finding this durable jolly pets soccer ball. It is made of some kind of material that doesn’t pop or deflate even after if it’s punched. After playing with this for a month, my beagle managed to puncher it with his sharp teeth. However, the ball didn’t lose it’s shaped at all.

Rope Toys (Tuf of war)
While the tug of war just seems like a regular game, it’s benefits are beyond any. Tug of war is a great way to teach a young beagle ‘leave.’
Beagles are infamous for being naughty and mischievous, especially when they are puppies. No matter how careful you are, sooner or later, your pooch will get a hold of something important to you, like your new shoe or an expensive dress. And once he gets it, you know it very well what’s coming next; the destructive chewing. At such times, the command ‘leave’ becomes handy.

Puppy teething is a difficult phase for your pooch as well as you. To ease the pain in their gums, they start chewing on everything they see, shoes, furniture, clothes. Apart from causing monetary damage, chewing on wrong things can be harmful to your puppy too.

Apart from just physical exercise, beagles need mental stimulation too. This can be achieved by teaching them some tricks or giving them challenging tasks. You can also use interactive puzzle toys that give out treats when a dog solves it.
Hide and slide toys are great for exercising your puppy’s mind. However, these toys are not for puppies who are teething, because they would just start chewing it impatiently and try to break it. Most puzzle games, including this one, are for elder puppies who have completed their teething process.

Bully sticks can be tough to categorize. Let me describe it in the best way possible. Bully sticks are long-lasting chew toys that are edible and good for dental health. They remove tartar and plaque and help to maintain good dental care.
